Our Work
Real cycling experiences on the Barrow towpath. Here's what we've created for our riders.
Barrow Towpath Group Rides
We've led over 40 guided cycling sessions along the Carlow to Bagenalstown route with groups of 6-12 riders. Our guides keep the pace conversational—no one's racing anyone. Riders aged 55-78 covering the 11-mile round trip comfortably in under three hours, with stops for scenery and stories.
Return-to-Cycling Coaching
Worked with 28 riders who hadn't cycled in 5+ years to rebuild their confidence. Through 4-6 week coaching programmes, we helped them get comfortable on bikes again, sorted bike fit issues, and built them up to doing the full Barrow towpath route independently.
Accessible Bike Fleet
Built a fleet of 14 bikes specifically set up for older riders—step-through frames, properly adjusted seats, and comfortable grips. Each bike gets a pre-ride check and riders get a quick orientation. We've hired out bikes to over 300 riders since launching, from complete beginners to experienced cyclists wanting to try the route.
Monthly Social Rides
Started a monthly "Sunday Spin" where regulars meet for a casual ride followed by tea and chat. What began with 8 people in January has grown to 22-25 riders showing up most months. People tell us it's as much about the friendships as the cycling.
